Fleece and Flex Veneer

Fleece and Flex from Einar Risør A/S is a high-quality veneer with a reinforced fleece backing.

Fleece and Flex from Einar Risør A/S is very flexible and easy to use. The veneer can be cut with scissors or cut with a hobby knife and can be installed on any dry core material.

Advantages of Fleece and Flex from Einar Risør A/S

The high flexibility makes Fleece and Flex particularly suitable for curved shapes and surfaces that are difficult to veneer – during the production of Fleece and Flex, the wood fibers are broken and made flexible. The fleece backing stabilizes the veneer and prevents the surface from cracking and splintering. Fleece and Flex can be installed on rounded surfaces – rounded surfaces up to 360 ° are no problem.

When Fleece and Flex is used correctly, no air bubbles appear between the veneer and the substrate. The fleece backing, which is made of cellulose/polyester, prevents glue from penetrating. The fleece on the back of the veneer dampens small unevenness in the substrate. The wooden surface is normally supplied sanded, but must be sanded before further processing – e.g. varnishing or oiling.

Fleece and Flex should be stored in a dry place to prevent the product from being exposed to temperature fluctuations or moisture. Exposure to light can affect the color of the veneer.

The veneer and the board to which it is to be mounted should be stored in the same room for at least 24 hours before installation, so that both materials have the same humidity level.

If you do not have access to a veneer press, use a high-quality adhesive – follow the instructions from the adhesive manufacturer. Make sure all surfaces are clean of dust, grease or other dirt before applying the adhesive. Use a rubber roller for installation – not a steel roller or hammer.
